Samadi
Mr. Samadi has 20 years of experience in general management,
operations, quality, supply chain, engineering, and
consulting. His areas of expertise include
multi-site operations management and integration,
lean manufacturing, global sourcing, off-shore manufacturing,
new product introduction, and time-to-market initiatives. He
also is proficient in business process improvement,
Total Quality Management, ISO 9000, Six Sigma quality
management systems, and change management.
For the past two years, Mr. Samadi has held management
positions at electronics manufacturing services companies,
serving as general manager of Flextronics International’s
Colorado operations and director of US operations
for Celestica Corporation. Prior to joining
Celestica, he was director of word-wide operations
and quality for Harris Corporation’s telecommunications
sector. His previous experience includes
operations, manufacturing, quality assurance, and
engineering management positions at Signet Scientific,
TRW Automotive, and Xerox Corporation.
His achievements include deploying leading-edge lean
enterprise, demand flow, and Kaizen Blitz improvement
initiatives across multiple organizations on a global
basis, leading to dramatic cost reductions ranging
from $5M to 30M in annual savings. Typical
achievements included cycle time reductions of 50-70%,
space reductions of 30-50%, work-in-process and finished
goods reduction of 50-90%, and setup time reductions
of 50-75%. In less than five months, Mr.
Samadi’s efforts resulted in a site’s
improvement from 12th/last in the Americas to a number-two
ranking.
An expert in lean manufacturing, Mr. Samadi developed
a 20-module course on the subject that can be delivered
in 1.5 to 4 days, depending upon the needs of the
participants. The course material is based
upon his extensive experience in deploying lean manufacturing,
as well as his teachings at the University of California
at Los Angeles.
A member of the American Society for Quality, Mr.
Samadi is a Certified Quality Manager, Certified Quality
Engineer, and Certified Quality Auditor.
